NYCAregistry scanAZFLonlineturn's own checks
Scan the code. Ask the state, not the package.
Every legal unit in New York and California carries a state track-and-trace QR code. We read it and look the unit up in the state registry - product, lab results, licence, recalls - in one scan. No code, or bought in Arizona, Florida or online? Run the same checks turn's own team uses, for pods and all-in-ones alike.
- Point the camera at the QR
Small codes are fine - we zoom and light the frame for you.
- The state answers
Registered? You see exactly what the registry says is inside, and can log it.
- No code? turn's own tells
Inside foil, sticker, pouch artwork, barcode, size and flavor - checked against turn's own published catalog.
Every turn product, the right checks
Measured from turn's official asset hub, not assumed. A check that does not apply to a product is left out of its score - never counted against it.

Scan the code
Fill the frame with the QR code. Small codes: move closer and hold still - we zoom in for you.
Check a package
Answer turn's own packaging checks, add photos, or paste a code. Photos stay on this device unless you build a report.
turn's own checks
What turn's own team asks to see when someone posts "is this real?", plus what turn's official asset hub says about every pod and all-in-one it sells in NY, CA, AZ, FL and online. No model, no guesswork.
Looked up against the 323 barcodes turn publishes for its own products.
The pouch
The pouch checks are skipped for this product: it does not ship in the turn pouch (the NY live resin all-in-one comes in a tin, and turn one packaging is not in turn's asset hub yet). They do not count against it. The registry scan, barcode and catalog checks still apply.
The label
turn's three dots: taste, feeling, memory - each flavor has its own three.
Photos
In the order turn asks for them. The front is the least useful photo - it is the one counterfeiters copy well.

What each factor measures
- Code destination 35 pts — the QR is resolved server-side. A Metrc Retail ID that the state registry recognises scores in full; a code the registry has never issued, or one pointing somewhere else, caps the score.
- Inside of the pouch 12 pts - pouch products — you answer. Genuine turn pouches carry the turn logo pattern on the inside foil; plain foil caps the score at 40.
- Compliance sticker position 8 pts - pouch products — you answer. Genuine units carry the state sticker on the back label; a sticker on the front caps at 44, no sticker caps at 60.
- Device vs pouch artwork 5 pts — turn prints a pod (with "pen sold separately") on pod pouches and a pen on all-in-one pouches; the artwork must match what is inside.
- Barcode vs turn's asset hub 10 pts — the UPC under the barcode is looked up against the barcodes turn publishes for its own products; a real barcode on the wrong flavor or device is a copied-label tell.
- Flavor, size and effect vs turn's catalog 10 pts — the name and the three short lines under it are matched against turn.me's own listing (142 products, four states, September 2026). A name that isn't listed proves nothing on its own; tags that belong to a different genuine flavor cap the score at 30.
- Compliance label text 15 pts — text read from your back-label photo, checked against California panel rules (warning symbol, THC, licence format, dates). CA rules only for now.
- Seller licence 10 pts — the licence number or store name you enter is looked up live in the California DCC database. New York OCM lookup is not wired yet.
- Purchase context 5 pts — where you bought it and what you paid.
There is no image-recognition "visual match" factor. PodCheck does not judge print quality or colour from photos; every factor above is either a registry lookup, a text match against turn's published catalog and barcodes, or an answer you give about the physical package.
Factors that are unavailable (no photo, no licence entered, wrong device for the check) are excluded from the denominator rather than scored zero.
